SEO Scope of Work — Hire SEO Professionals
Attach this Scope to the Agreement / Proposal. Update timelines, fees and specific deliverables per client.
Project Summary
Provider will perform ongoing SEO activities to improve the visibility and organic performance of Client's website: technical fixes, on-page optimization, content recommendations, outreach/PR (as agreed), and monthly reporting.
Deliverables (example)
- Month 1: Full technical audit, priority fixes list, keyword research, content gap analysis, 1 on-site optimization batch.
- Months 2–6: Implementation support, content briefs, link outreach (as agreed), monthly report, KPI tracking.
- Monthly deliverable: Detailed report with work items completed, traffic/visibility metrics, and prioritized next steps.
Performance & KPIs
- Provider will track organic sessions, impressions, ranking visibility and conversions (where tracking is available).
- Any KPI, ranking or traffic numbers mentioned in proposals are targets for monitoring and improvement; they are NOT guaranteed outcomes.
Assumptions & Client Responsibilities
- Client will provide CMS/hosting/analytics access within 5 business days of start.
- Client will implement or approve technical/content changes that are marked as Client responsibility within agreed timelines.
- Any third-party costs (paid tools, ads, premium plugins) are billed separately and pre-approved.
Exclusions
- Paid advertising (PPC) management unless explicitly included.
- Major website redesign work beyond small template/CMS edits (can be quoted separately).
Change Orders
Any scope changes require written approval and may change timeline and fees. Provider will submit a Change Order for client approval when applicable.
Timeline
Typical month-to-month retainer; expected initial improvement windows vary by industry and competition. SEO is medium-to-long term — meaningful, measurable results typically take multiple months and depend on factors outside Provider's control.
Acceptance
Acceptance of this Scope is via signature on the accompanying proposal or by payment of initial invoice. Both parties agree to the terms in the attached Agreement.
